Dorinda's Newsletter 11.22.11

OUR NAME HAS CHANGED!!!

Yep, that’s right.  There is a rebranding effort going on in the ministry right now.  We have formerly been known by a variety of names, including Compassion, Crisis Response, TouchGlobal Crisis Response, EFCA TouchGlobal Crisis Response and all sorts of variations in between.  Going forward, we are going to be called:

TouchGlobal,
the crisis response ministry of the EFCA

In a short while, we will drop the tag and just become

TouchGlobal

We are still the same ministry touching lives by showing the love of Christ to those in need in the mission field that follows a crisis.  We will still be asking God to send volunteers to serve those in need; we will still be hosting those volunteers at various locations; we will still be rebuilding lives as we rebuild homes; we will still be restoring the body of the churches affected by disasters; we will still be making disciples and establishing reproducing faith communities with our excellent relational ministry team; we will still be transforming volunteers; we will still be impacting sending churches and the communities they serve and we will still be seeking the Lord’s will as to how He would want us to serve Him through TouchGlobal.

Other updates:

100% supported for 100% of staff by the end of the year!!!

That’s our miracle prayer for the last couple of months of this year.  Most of our staff has set our alarms on our cell phones to go off at noon everyday.  At that time we stop and pray for our Ministry partnership development opportunities.  We are praying for 100% support for all of our staff by the end of the year so we can all hit the ground running at the beginning of the year to continue the work that God has for us in the ministry.  Will you join us at noon everyday to pray our miracle prayer?  Will you consider becoming a partner with the ministry by supporting someone on staff?  Ask our Almighty Father in heaven how He would have you support our efforts with TouchGlobal, the crisis response ministry of the EFCA.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I pray that each and everyone of you and all of your family will be blessed immeasurable more than we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.  To Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen  (Ephesians 3:20-21)
